Christ Journey Church , a multi-site, multi-cultural church in Miami, Florida is looking for an energetic leader to serve on our Elementary Ministry Team. This person should have a desire to help children find and follow Christ and partner with parents and leaders towards that end. They would oversee the weekly large group environments for elementary children and a monthly experience for elementary children and parents. Applicant should have experience in casting a compelling vision, building volunteer teams, programming dynamic experiences for children, strategic planning, and strong communication and presentation skills. This position requires a combined 2 years of experience in working in Children’s Ministry as a staff, intern or volunteer. Must have an Associates Degree and in process of or completion of a Bachelors Degree. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Overview : Encounter Church is looking for a Family Life Director with proven leadership gifting, who understands the enormous Kingdom significance of every child and student. Our FL Director will be able to effectively cast and implement a compelling vision that inspires parents and volunteers alike. Our ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in Children’s and Student Ministry, within a ministry context that serves 150 or more children/students per weekend. Our four Family Life environments include: Main Street – birth to preschool Upstreet – K to 5th grade Students – Middle and High School The Host Team   Primary responsibilities : Modeling Jesus to our Children: Recruiting, developing, equipping, preparing, and empowering FL Ministry Team volunteers and Team leaders to be excellent role models of Christ-followers Partnering with parents to enhance a child/student’s growth in Christ.
