CHURCH: Chapelgate Church (PCA) POSITION TITLE: Director of Children’s Ministry LOCATION: Marriottsville, MD (Baltimore Suburb) SALARY RANGE: 45 – 55K + Benefits (Commensurate with Education & Experience) WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 1000 Chapelgate Church (PCA) is an established congregation in a Baltimore suburb located in Howard County, MD. As the Director of Children’s Ministry, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a dedicated team of volunteers which seeks to bring creative ministry programs and environments where children can grow in Christ and embrace the gospel for all of life. Your ability to recruit and train effective leaders while creating and implementing both existing and new programs will be crucial for your success. Responsibilities: (Request Job Description for full list) Directs & sets the focus, philosophy and approach for Children’s Ministry Organize and direct a fun, active and inspiring Sunday morning program where our kids are grounded in the gospel and Word of God. Recruits, trains and deploys dedicated and passionate volunteers Direct all activities related to the middle school weeknight ministry. Reviews curriculum, resources and programs. Coordinates and oversees our annual VBS Plans and develops an annual calendar of children’s activities and events such as Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas events, Fall Festivals and others. Develop new and innovative approaches to reach children in the church and the community with the Gospel. Oversees and supervises other Kid-Min staff including Nursery/Pre-K Coordinator and Summer Interns. Requirements: Must have a deep and fervent commitment to Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord. Must have a Bachelors Degree. Must love children & families Be culturally aware and relevant. Must have the ability to recruit, manage, train and organize a large group of volunteers to achieve ministry goals. Must be able to articulate and apply the gospel that is understandable and meaningful to children. Must be able to effectively articulate Biblical truth and doctrine to kids.
