Our next family pastor should have experience in both kids and student ministry and be energized by equipping volunteers, investing in parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes, and creating engaging programming for birth-high school. If that’s you and you have experience in leading these areas in a growing ministry context, we’d love to talk. Experience in a multi-site church is a bonus as well. OBJECTIVE To serve alongside the Nolensville Campus Pastor and Rolling Hills Community Church Family Pastor in carrying out the five functions of the New Testament Church: worship, discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, and ministry. The primary emphasis of this position is preschool and kids ministry, with a secondary emphasis in students. Essentially, the Nolensville Campus Family Pastor’s responsibility is to lead children, students and their families to Christ and to help them grow in the faith. GIFT/SKILL SET Leadership Communication Evangelism Strategic Thinking Team Development Volunteer Recruitment Interpersonal Skills Volunteer Training EXPECTATIONS - Live an exemplary life modeling the call, character, and competencies of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. - Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families and the overall church body. - Grow personally in their own leadership and ministerial abilities by reading, attending conferences and having godly and professional mentors in their life. - Be involved in the overall life of the church body by being a partner/member, actively participating in a community group, church-wide events, and functions. - Be an excited and contributing member of the RHCC staff team. - Experience working in a multi-site church is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop a team of leaders to teach and shepherd families with children and infants through high school. - Lead volunteer teams to plan and implement Sunday morning ministry worship and discipleship environments for birth through middle school. -Lead volunteer teams to plan and implement High School Bible studies and mid-week youth programming. - Support parents in their own spiritual growth and in their role as spiritual leaders for their children. - Work with the staff to involve and integrate children/students and their families in the overall life of Rolling Hills including but not limited to community groups, partnership, missions, and worship one/serve one experiences. - Serve alongside Family Ministry Team members in the creative implementation of midweek discipleship strategy for children and students at all Rolling Hills campuses as well as summer camp and seasonal events. - Continue to develop, equip volunteers, and grow mid-week programming for Middle School and High School students. - Equip volunteers to lead Sunday morning Middle School Bible study. - Implement mile-marker strategy for kids and families to experience Family Dedication as well as Baptism and Belief classes at Nolensville. - Minister to children, students, their families, caring for them personally and spiritually. - Continually enlist ministry volunteers and develop new leaders. - Provide methods of tangible encouragement for both leaders and parents throughout the month. - Ensure all ministry environments are staffed for Sunday mornings according to policies and procedures of Rolling Hills Community Church. - Maintain a consistent follow-up plan with both first-time guests and also those who have missed for three or more weeks. - Work with the Family Ministry Team in planning and implementing community outreach events including but not limited to VBS and seasonal outreach opportunities such as Egg Hunts and Fall Festivities. - Develop a structure by which students are actively serving on Sunday mornings. - Work to ensure Rolling Hills Community Church Family Ministry Policies and Procedures are followed. - Oversee and ensure kids ministry areas are set-up and torn down appropriately each week. - Work with Rolling Hills Preschool, Children, and Student Ministry Leadership as well as Family Ministry Admin to organize weekly curriculum for Nolensville teaching environments. QUALIFICATIONS - Experience leading in ministry environments with preschool, kids and students. -Experience in recruiting, training and leading volunteers. -Experience with Orange Curriculum and Orange ministry philosophy preferred. -College Degree and additional educational or ministerial experience preferred.
